If the motor direction on a PowerView® Roller, Screen, or Banded product has been accidentally reversed or if the polarity is switched (meaning that pressing open on the remote moves the product to a closed position and pressing close moves it to an open position), you can reverse the motor direction to its original orientation using the remote by following the below instructions.
NOT: There are two different sets of instructions included here, depending on the age of your product.
Move the product to about 12” from the top using the remote.
Perform a calibration reset by pressing and holding the product’s programming button for about six seconds until the product jogs one time. After releasing the programming button, the product will start to move automatically. Use the remote to stop the product before it reaches its first limit.
While pressing and holding the product’s programming button, press and release the STOP button on the remote. The product’s LED will blink and the product will jog, indicating the open/close orientation has been reversed.
Perform a six-second calibration reset again. Allow the product to move through its limits and then stop.
Test the product with the remote to ensure that the direction has been successfully changed.
